Q: Has the LCI been proven to be reliable and valid?

A: Yes, the model was developed from an empirical doctoral research study that involved hundreds of retail middle managers and was peer-reviewed. Finding of this study (and subsequent studies conducted by ITD) showed that specific feelings are significantly associated with middle managers' confidence levels, risk perception and decision rules, and that personality traits play a moderating role in the relationship between feelings and decision-making competence. Subsequent research conducted by ITD further validated the findings of this study and also found significant relationships between feelings, personality traits, decision making, transformational leadership, and financial performance metrics in organizations. For detailed information about the reliability and validity of the specific instruments used as part of the LCI and their intercorrelations with other (e.g. financial) metrics, contact us.

Q: Can you customize the videos for our specific company / industry?

A: Yes, contact us to discuss what is involved and the associated cost. It requires minimal time commitment on your end, but we do need access to people in your organization who understand the roles of middle managers in your company very well.

Q: How much does the LCI cost?

A: You'll find that the LCI is very competitively priced. Contact us to learn more.

Q: Can I order the LCI just for myself?

A: Yes, contact us for details.

Q: I'm interested in purchasing the LCI to use in our organization. What kind of support do you offer?

A: We provide different levels of support depending on your needs.

If you want to do everything internally, we can train one person in your organization to administer the assessments, and you can purchase as many assessments as you need.

If you don't have the internal resources, we can give you access to business consultants and coaches from whom you can choose one to support you with implementation. Support can can include one or both of the following:

  • Walking middle manager participants through their LCI reports to help them interpret their results, provide constructive feedback, and create a plan for their professional development
  • Customizing our workshop materials for your context, which can be delivered by your internal trainer or a trainer accredited by us. Internal trainers can be operations managers with a keen interest in training and/or trainers with a solid understanding of operations.
